2026 Registration Information
The Park Village Swim Team is open to all Park Village residents ages 5-18. The age for the season is based on the child's age on June 1, 2026. Our primary concern with all children is water safety. Children ages 11+ must be able to swim 50 yards (two lengths of the pool) in at least one stroke without the aid of floatation devices or other swim aids. Children ages 7-10 must be able to swim 25 yards (one length of the pool) in any stroke, again without the assistance of swim aids. We are not concerned about their technique - we have a whole season to develop stroke technique - but we do need them to be safe in the water. In some cases, a swimmer may be permitted to attend practices, but may not be ready to swim in the meets right away (either certain strokes or all strokes). The head coach will communicate any decisions regarding meet readiness to the parents.
For children 6 & under, we are most concerned with water safety. Children should be comfortable jumping in and be able to safely get back to the wall without the use of swimming aids and without holding on to the lane lines. They should also be able to follow basic instructions from our coaching staff. In order to participate in meets, kids 6 & under must be able to swim 15 yards without assistance. It is common for young children to start the season doing practices only - most children who attend practice regularly are able to join the meets within a few weeks. Again, our primary concern is water safety, as we do not have enough coaches to provide 1:1 instruction in the water.
The first two weeks of practice are considered a probationary period in order to assess all children for water safety. If there is a concern about your swimmer's ability to participate in practices safely, you will be notified by the head coach no later than June 6th. If the coach determines that your child is not ready for swim team this year, you're encouraged to pursue lessons and come back next year. A refund of registration fees will be initiated no later than June 10th, less $35 per swimmer to cover administrative expenses. Your swimmer may keep their swim team shirt, if applicable. All decisions made by the coaching staff are final.

Registration fee includes Swim Team Meets, Practices, League Fees (including the Swimtopia platform), Social Events, Awards, T-shirt, Swim Cap. REGISTER BY MAY 10TH TO GUARANTEE SHIRT SIZE!
Fees will be paid via CC online through Stripe processing at the end of registration. Registration fees are subject to a credit card processing fee.
Regular Registration - April 9th - May 10th:

1st Swimmer: $140
2nd Swimmer: $135
3rd Swimmer: $130
Each additional Swimmer over 3 is $130
Registration Fees, Ages 13-14: $100
Registration Fees, Ages 15+: $90
Late Registration - May 11th - May 27th:
Shirts & caps are not guaranteed for late registrations. Past season shirts may be substituted, if available. A swim evaluation is required before swimming in the Mock Meet (can be done at practice, but must be done by May 29th).

Refunds:
If you decide that the swim team is not for you, you may request a refund until June 6th, 2026. Refunds must be requested in writing by contacting [email protected]. A refund will be issued less a $35 processing fee per swimmer to cover administrative expenses. Swimmers may keep their team shirt, if applicable. No refunds will be given after June 6th.
Volunteer Fees
A volunteer hold fee of $280.00 per family will be placed on accounts at registration. Volunteer fees will only be charged if obligations are not met by the family at the end of the season. Having enough volunteers is vital for a swim meet to run smoothly and efficiently. For the 2026 season, we require all families to earn 4 volunteer credits - only one of these credits may be earned at the Mock Meet. If you are unable to fulfill the volunteer requirement, you may opt to pay a volunteer fee of $280.00 in lieu of working at the meets.
