The following email contains important information about the (optional) TSA Championship Meet, which will be held on Sunday, July 20th, at Triangle Aquatic Center (275 Convention Dr, Cary, NC 27511). Year-round swimmers, note that the TSA Champs Meet coincides with the AG Champs Meet in Greensboro this year. 

Meet Format:
The championship meet is held indoors at TAC and is divided into 4 sessions. All TSA teams from both the Northern and Southern Leagues are allowed to participate. The approximate session times are as follows:
8 & under - 8am (7am arrival)
9-10 - 11:30am (10:30 arrival)
11-12 - 2:30pm (1:30pm arrival)
13+ - 5:30pm (4:30pm arrival)

All times are approximate and may change based on the number of swimmers participating in each session. Final session times and arrival times will be announced once all meet entries are in.

Event Limits & Cost:

There is a limit of 3 individual events for all swimmers ages 7+. Swimmers 6 & under may only swim 2 individual events. 6 & under swimmers must swim 25 yards without the help of a kid catcher (pool is VERY deep, and no swimmers will be able to touch the bottom). Each individual event is $6. 

If we have enough swimmers participating, we will build relay teams. The team will cover the cost of relays.

Volunteering:

This meet is run entirely by volunteers. If your swimmer participates, you may need to fill a volunteer slot during your child's session. Volunteer slots range from kid pusher, coach/volunteer check-in, to clerk of course. Parents may not be on deck unless they are volunteering. If you aren't volunteering on deck, the coaches will meet your swimmer before the warmup, and parents must watch from the balcony.

Registration:
If you'd like your child to participate, you MUST fill out this Google form by Monday, July 7th, at midnight. Once approved, you'll need to pay for your events no later than Wednesday, July 9th, at noon - Coach Evan will send a link once your registration is approved. Swimmers who have not paid by noon on July 9th will be removed from the meet. I apologize for the tight timeline on this, but we just received information today.

We will hold two practice sessions on Thursday, July 17th, and Friday, July 18th, only for those attending TSA champs.

This meet is open to all swimmers, pending coach approval (we will not put a swimmer into an environment if we aren't confident they can handle it). If you've ever considered swimming year-round, this meet will give your swimmers a better feel for what more traditional, indoor swim meets are like.
