    End-of-Season Party - Information

The following email contains information about the end of season party, which will be held on Tuesday, July 23rd.

    Arrival & Dinner:
When you arrive, please enter the pool through the pool gates. We highly recommend bringing chairs for the pool deck as we will not have enough seating for everyone inside the clubhouse. Then, come find me at the back doors of the clubhouse to check in (near the concessions entrance). Swimmers will receive one ticket for Kona Ice, which will be visiting between 6-7pm. Parents should plan to hold on to the tickets for their swimmers so they don't get lost. Additional cups may be purchased separately, directly from the truck. Dinner will be served in the clubhouse beginning at 5:30pm (chicken tenders, macaroni, & fruit).

Important - No one may enter the clubhouse after entering the pool, so please plan to
stay dry if you plan to eat. If your kids are wet, please do not allow them to go into the clubhouse - we don't have nearly enough rugs to protect the floor and we certainly don't want anyone to slip and fall on a puddle of water.

    Awards:
There will be an awards ceremony held on the pool deck after dinner.

For those new to the team, all first year swimmers will receive a medal. In subsequent years, swimmers will earn pins to add to the medal so try to keep track of it!

Years of participation awards are presented for the following years: 3, 5, 7, and 10. We also do awards for high points (one per group, based on total points earned in individual events at all meets), most improved (one per group, based on a combination of time dropped and number of improved times), and coach awards (four total awards chosen by the coaches based on work ethic, attitude, coachability, etc). A swimmer who earns the high point award may not also earn the most improved award in the same season. Swimmers may earn a years of participation award and another award in the same season (i.e. a swimmer celebrating their 3rd year on the team may also win the most improved award for their group). All swimmers will receive a certificate, an athlete report card (showing a list of their times throughout the season, provided they participated in at least one official meet), and a 2024 pin to add to their medal.

    Swimming:
Time & weather permitting, swimmers are invited to hop in the pool one last time as a team! We will need to leave the pool at the last whistle (7:50pm).

    Weather:

In the case of inclement weather, we will do our very best to hold everything inside, but it will be an abbreviated event as it will be very crowded. Hopefully that's not the case and we can be outside. We do plan to setup tents outside in case of rain, but if it thunders we will be forced inside.

A note about awards: If you are unable to attend this event, you may arrange pickup of your awards with me by contacting me directly. Otherwise, awards will be held until next year.

    See you tomorrow!
