Meet Information, 7/16 vs Eagle Ridge (Home)
Hello Porpoise Families!
The following email contains important information about our last regular season meet of the season - a home meet against Eagle Ridge on Tuesday, July 16th, as well as a couple of general reminders.
General Reminders:
Practice Schedule:
It’s hard to believe our season is almost over! Here’s the practice schedule for this week:
Monday - Normal AM/PM practice schedule
Tuesday - No practice due to the meet
Wednesday - Final FUN practice! Parents are encouraged to join their swimmer's group(s) for one last practice full of relays, belly flops, and other fun challenges!
Thursday - Practice for TSA Championship Participants Only (11+ practice: 5-6pm, 10&U practice: 6-7pm)
Friday - Practice for TSA Championship Participants Only (11+ practice: 5-6pm, 10&U practice: 6-7pm)
Rain Delays:
We’ve been lucky so far this season, but this is a reminder that if a meet is canceled or postponed, the make-up day is Wednesday (the day after the originally scheduled meet).
End-of-Season Party:
The end-of-season party will be held on Tuesday, July 23rd, at the pool/clubhouse. More information will be available soon - look for an RSVP request soon.
Coach Gifts:
We are so grateful for our amazing coaching staff! If you’d like to make a donation to end-of-season coach gifts, you may do so using Venmo. Please make a note in Venmo (@PV-Swim2024) indicating that the payment is for coach gifts (if prompted, the phone number ends in 6572), or see Tina at concessions during that meet.
Meet Information:
On Tuesday, July 16th, we will host the Eagle Ridge Soaring Eagles!
Arrival:
Swimmers should arrive at the pool at 4:45 p.m. and immediately go to swimmer check-in. Warm-ups will begin promptly at 5:00 p.m. Any swimmer who does not check-in by 5:15 p.m. will be scratched from the meet and not permitted to swim. If you are running late, please email Coach Evan or me before 5:15 p.m. We will both check our emails at 5:15 p.m. before we begin scratching (we don’t always have time to respond).
Swimmer Absences:
If your swimmer has committed to the meet but cannot attend due to illness/injury, please email Coach Evan or me as soon as possible so we can rearrange relays and lane assignments.
Volunteers:
Volunteers who are already registered should arrive at the time listed for their position in SwimTopia. If you are unable to volunteer for any reason, please let me know ASAP so I can try to find a replacement.
Concessions:
At this meet, we will offer pizza, hot dogs, snacks (chips, candy, ice cream, popsicles), and snow cones! As a convenience, you may order a whole pizza from Papa John’s, which will be delivered around 5:45, using the following link: July 16 Pizza Order. Cash or Venmo only (sorry, no credit cards). All proceeds benefit the swim team.
Seating:
We are expecting another large meet this week, so we appreciate it if you’d spread out and leave a path to walk from the visiting side to the starting blocks. Thank you!
