The following email contains information about the 41st Annual Cary City Meet on Saturday, July 13th. This event is an additional swim meet for all TSA teams in the Southern League. This year, it will be held at Scottish Hills Rec Club, located at 1423 Tarbert Dr, Cary, NC 27511.

About the Meet:
The Cary City Meet is a fun event where teams can come together to race against swimmers they may not typically compete against during the season. Teams decorate their tents with themes to show team spirit and pass out goodies to other teams. Swimmers also have time to socialize with friends from other teams. We would love to have as many swimmers from our team attend as possible! This is a highlight of the season for many swimmers.

Timeline:
The meet is divided into two sessions. Swimmers only need to attend their own session.

Morning Session (10 & Under): The morning session for 10 & Under will take place between 8:15 am-12:30 pm (warmups begin at 7 am, the PV warmup time will be announced later)

Afternoon Session (11 & Up): The afternoon session for 11 & Up will take place between 2:15 pm-7:30 pm (warmups begin at 1 pm, the PV warmup time will be announced later)

Registration:
Coach Evan will handle the registration for this event. Please email Coach Evan at [email protected] or talk to him at practice no later than Friday, June 28th if you are interested in attending this meet. Each swimmer may only enter three individual events for this meet (two for 6&U). You can state your preference on which events your swimmer would like to swim and indicate your availability for relays, but Coach Evan will take care of the registration for your swimmers.

For 6 & under swimmers: 6 & under swimmers may only swim two individual events - freestyle and/or backstroke, but each event will be 25 yards, instead of 15 yards. There is no breaststroke option for 6&U. Please talk to Coach Evan to make sure he's comfortable with your swimmer swimming the full 25 yards of each stroke.

Cost/Payment:
This event is not included in your Park Village Swim Team registration fees. There is an additional cost to enter each event: $6 for an individual entry and $3.75 for each relay.

Once your swimmers are officially registered, you will need to pay for the events in the team store. I will send a separate email about payment to the swimmers who decide to participate, but again the cost will be $6 per individual event (max of $18 per child) and $3.75 per relay (max of $7.50 per child). Payment must be received by July 2nd at 10 pm. Swimmers who have not paid by this deadline will be unregistered for the meet and not permitted to attend.

Volunteer Positions:
Each team will be responsible for filling volunteer roles. The number of volunteer roles is based on each team's number of participating swimmers, but our specific volunteer roles will not be announced until registration is complete. Volunteer roles will count towards your volunteer requirements for the season. More details to come.
